Indigo leaves have been used to colour not only clothes, but also hair for the longest time. Organic indigo leaves can naturally colour hair, and also offer protection and nourishment. Mesmara’s organic indigo leaf powder is prepared from 100% pure indigo leaves, which are cultivated as per organic farming methods. There are no chemicals or artificial additives, making this powder pure and safe.

Studies have shown that conventional indigo powder may have adulterants and chemicals such as kerosene, paint thinner and para-phenylenediamine dye. Several pesticides and chemicals might have been used during cultivation as well. Studies have indicated that usage of these chemicals may lead to serious health problems such as itching, rashes, severe blistering, breathing problems, hair loss and allergic reactions.
