Regular breads made with maida are less healthy as the refining process takes away all the nutrition from the whole wheat. Studies have shown that commercially available jaggery may sometimes be adulterated with Sodium hydrosulphite, a bleaching agent. Research suggests that this chemical may cause vomiting, dizziness and muscle cramps.
