Praakritik Organic Khapli Wheat Atta is made from the organic emmer wheat grains that are sourced from certified organic farms in Belgaum in Karnataka. The grains are grown without chemical pesticides or fertilizers and are processed without the use of any preservatives. Emmer wheat is an ancient grain full of micronutrients, minerals and vitamins. This makes it a healthy alternative to wheat.
Commonly available wheat flour may contain residues of pesticides such as organochlorines, organophosphates, and synthetic pyrethroids which are used in commercial farming. Studies show that the intake of these chemicals may cause problems such as headache, nausea, muscle weakness, muscle twitching, neurological damage and endocrine disorders etc.
